Fall Break! went to Rexburg with a stop at Chili's to celebrate not buying the blue house a year ago. highlights: pumpkin patch, time with the Lees, seeing The Foreigner at the Play Mill

visit from my parents!!! We had a lovely time. Dad gave some advice on the breezeway roof, I got to walk with Mom a couple times, and we got KFC together. It was sad to see them go. Mom even left us some Christmas presents.

Birthdays and Holidays

Katie had some cute friends over on her birthday. They had fun doing crafts and making dirt dessert.

Halloween! We had our ward Trunk or Treat and dinner a few days before, so that meant we could do "real" trick-or-treating. The littles and I did 12,000 steps, but overall, it wasn't worth it around our neighborhood. We did crash M4's trunk or treat since it was walking distance. I think next year, we'll do Devin's neighborhood after M4.

Weather

still pretty rainy, starting to get chilly, tons of beautiful leaves

Sickness

Samantha broke her foot on the playground at school. She spent 3 weeks on crutches (plus a boot), just a boot for the past week, and has 2 weeks to wean off the boot.

Repairs and Projects

removed a shelf from the breezeway and installed it in the garage, also organized all the tools and breezeway to prep for demo

added new screws on the roof and sealed them with polyurethane

lost a diamond from my ring, so I've dropped it off to get repaired and cleaned

demoed the drywall on the moldy wall in the breezeway. It's much worse than expected. All the wood is rotten, so we need an entirely new wall. That's a bummer, but we can move the wall inward somewhat so the roof actually has some overhang. It was built really poorly to begin with.
